December Post (man I'm behind) this is my life though
It's the holiday season and I'm my typical bah
humbug. Forgive me. Now that I've strayed in topic
already...let me tell you about what I witnessed
last Thursday.
I was driving home from work around 8pm or so and
I'm on the 10 merging onto the 51 (I'm from "back
east" sort of, so I don't use the names of
freeways, just the numbers - do forgive). There's
always someone swerving and managing to use all
lanes, that's fine and expected this time of year.
However, when yonder cream colored Ford F150 with
firefighter plates cuts me off (after a few
others) and continues to swerve, my level of
concern turns to a middle finger and I move on.
What was unique about this experience? Well, the
cutting off and swerving is well enough from
anyone...even a firefighter..hell, their jobs are
pretty stressful... what threw me was this: Mr.
Firefighter (AZ #FF 1301) flicked his lit
cigarette out the window. I know, I know...lots of
people do it... I know I did on occasion back in
my smoking days. It just blew my mind that someone
whose job is the antithesis of the possible result
of this action would do this.
Happy Mondays.
